17 Mother’s Day Cookies (Kids Can Make)

I like to bake with my kids when we want to do something sweet but still simple… especially on holidays like Mother’s Day.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to look bakery-level. It just has to come from their little hands.

Some of my favorite memories are standing in the kitchen with flour on the counter, one kid sneaking chocolate chips, and another asking if they can “just taste one more.”

So for Mother’s Day, I always lean into easy cookies they can help make without stress. No complicated steps. No long ingredient lists. Just fun, simple treats that feel special.

These are the kinds of cookies kids can actually make, not just watch you make.

A Quick Mom Tip

If you’re making a few of these, I like to turn it into a little “cookie tray” moment. Just line everything up on a plate, let the kids arrange it, and suddenly it feels like a full Mother’s Day gift… without doing anything complicated.

And honestly, those simple, slightly messy treats? Those are always the ones that mean the most.

A Little Note From My Kitchen

I always remind myself… this isn’t about making perfect cookies.

It’s about letting kids feel proud of what they made. Even if the cookies are a little uneven or the sprinkles are everywhere, those are the ones that get remembered.

And those are the ones I love the most.
