Fun & Cute Cheeseburger Sliders For a Party

If you’ve slider posts, you know I’ve got a soft spot for mushroom and swiss sliders.

But sometimes you just want that classic, no-frills cheeseburger taste that takes you right back to summer BBQs and paper plates stacked high with snacks.

That’s where these cheeseburger sliders come in!

They’re gooey, beefy, a little messy, and totally worth it.

I love making a big batch for game day or when we’ve got a house full of people, and they somehow taste even better the next day.

They’re also super easy to prep ahead, which is a lifesaver during potluck season or when the grill’s already working overtime.

These always disappear fast, especially with kids (and grown-ups who act like kids when they eat).

If you’re looking for something fun, simple, and a little nostalgic, these sliders hit the spot.

What You Need to Make Cheeseburger Sliders

These ingredients come together fast and feed a hungry crowd without breaking a sweat.

  • Ground beef – Go with something not too lean so it stays juicy.
  • Salt – Just enough to bring out that beefy flavor.
  • Black pepper – A little kick to balance the richness.
  • Garlic powder – Gives it a subtle punch without overpowering.
  • Onion – Dice it up small so it melts right into the beef.
  • Shredded cheddar cheese – Melty, gooey, and just plain right for this.
  • Slider buns – Hawaiian rolls or your favorite soft buns work great.
  • Mayonnaise – Helps the filling stay creamy without drying out.
  • Ketchup – For that classic burger vibe.
  • Yellow mustard – Just a bit for tang and balance.
  • Butter – Brushed on top for that golden, toasty finish.
  • Sesame seeds (optional) – Totally not required, but they make it look cute and a little more “burger-y.”

How to Make Cheeseburger Sliders

1. Cook the Beef

Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.

Add in the diced onion, salt, pepper, and garlic powder while it cooks so everything gets well-seasoned.

2. Mix in the Sauce

Turn off the heat and stir in the mayo, ketchup, and mustard right into the beef.

It’ll look a little strange at first but trust the process…it turns creamy and flavorful fast!

3. Prep the Buns

Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves intact.

Place the bottom layer snugly into a greased 9×13 baking dish.

4. Layer the Filling

Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the bottom buns.

Then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese all over the top.

And don’t be shy with the cheese! It’s what pulls the whole thing together.

5. Add the Tops

Carefully place the top buns back on and gently press them down.

Not too hard, just enough to settle everything in place.

If the buns are pulling apart, use a spatula to nudge them back into formation.

6. Butter and Sprinkle

Brush melted butter over the tops of the buns so they get nice and golden.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if you’re using them.

Add a tiny pinch of garlic powder to the butter if you want extra flavor.

7. Bake It All

Cover loosely with foil and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is fully melted.

8. Slice and Serve

Let them cool for 5 minutes before cutting (trust me on this).

Use a sharp knife to slice along the bun lines and serve them up warm.

These reheat like a dream in the air fryer if you’re lucky enough to have leftovers!
