I don’t know what it is about spring, but my three kids suddenly act like they need a cute little treat every single day.

Maybe it’s the extra sunlight, maybe it’s the excitement of Easter coming up, or maybe it’s just that we’ve all survived winter and need something fun to celebrate.
Either way, these Oreo Dipped Bunny Cookies end up saving me every time.
They’re easy, adorable, and—my favorite part—they keep little hands busy for a solid 15 minutes.
When you have three kids bouncing around the kitchen, that feels like a gift.
We’ve made these every spring for as long as I can remember.
Pulling out a sleeve of Oreos, melting chocolate, and cutting marshmallow ears always snaps them into “helper mode.”
They line up the cookies, argue over whose bunny looks the cutest, and giggle through the whole thing.
It’s become our little spring tradition—the perfect “let’s do one more fun thing before bedtime” recipe. And honestly, the memories feel just as sweet as the cookies.
Ingredients to Make Bunny Cookies
For the bunny faces
- 10–12 Oreo cookies (any flavor works)
- 1 cup white melting chocolate or white candy melts
- 1–2 teaspoons coconut oil (optional, helps the chocolate smooth out)
For the bunny ears & decorations
- Large marshmallows
- Pink sanding sugar or sprinkles
- Mini chocolate chips or edible candy eyes
- Pink heart sprinkles or pink icing for noses
- Toothpick (for shaping and placing details)
Step-by-Step: How to Make Cute Marshmallow Bunny Cookies

1. Prep your toppings
Cut each large marshmallow in half diagonally to create “bunny ears.”
Dip the sticky side into pink sanding sugar so the center looks like the soft inside of an ear. Set aside.
2. Melt the chocolate
Microwave your white chocolate in 20–30 second bursts, stirring between each one.
If the chocolate looks too thick, stir in a teaspoon of coconut oil to smooth it out.
3. Dip the Oreos
Hold each Oreo by the edge and dip it into the melted chocolate, covering the entire front.
Place dipped cookies onto a parchment-lined tray.
4. Add the bunny ears
While the chocolate is still wet, gently press two marshmallow ears onto the top of each Oreo.
Hold for a few seconds so they stick.
5. Add the face
Use:
- Mini chocolate chips or edible eyes for eyes
- Pink sprinkle heart or pink icing for the nose
- A toothpick dipped in chocolate for tiny whisker dots
Let the cookies set completely (you can pop the tray into the fridge for 10–15 minutes).
6. Serve & enjoy
My kids always grab the “cutest one,” so make sure you decorate at least one extra.
Storage Tips
- Room temperature: Keep in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
- Fridge: If your house runs warm, store them in the fridge for up to 1 week.
- Freezing: These freeze surprisingly well! Store flat in a container with parchment between layers for up to 2 months. Thaw on the counter before serving.
Troubleshooting (Because Moms Need Backup Plans)

The chocolate won’t melt smoothly
Add ½–1 teaspoon of coconut oil and stir. Milky, smooth chocolate is much easier to dip in.
The ears keep falling off
Press the marshmallow ears into the melted chocolate while it’s still soft. If they still slip, add a tiny dot of chocolate “glue” behind them.
My Oreos are sliding around or breaking
Dip gently — don’t fully submerge them. A face-only dunk works perfectly.
The decorations won’t stick
If the chocolate has already hardened, warm a tiny bit of chocolate and use it as glue.
Cute Easter Bunny Cookies

Every time we make these, someone inevitably eats all the marshmallow ears before I’m done dipping the Oreos.
I used to get frustrated — now I just buy an extra bag of marshmallows and pretend I didn’t notice.
It keeps the peace, and honestly, these cute little bunny cookies always come out adorable no matter how chaotic the kitchen gets.
