15 Bone-Chillingly Easy Halloween Dips for Parties

You know what’s more fun than costumes and decorations at Halloween?

The food!

And you don’t need to be a gourmet chef to whip up something that looks spooky and tastes amazing.

Especially when it comes to dips.

Dips are usually my go-to for parties because they can be made really quickly in big batches to feed a bunch of people.

(Translation: I can make them last-minute when I’m in a huge rush between putting up decorations and throwing together costumes.)

Anyway, there are some really simple and yummy Halloween dips out there that are guaranteed to get people gathering around the snack table.

Here are my faves that you should definitely try:

1. Creamy Cauldron Queso Dip

Melt together Velveeta and a can of Rotel in a saucepan until it’s smooth and bubbling.

Stir in a little bit of taco seasoning for an extra kick and keep it warm in a black cauldron-shaped bowl.

I like to add sliced jalapeños on top so it looks like something sinister floating around.

Serve with tortilla chips or breadsticks for dipping.

2. Eyeball Cookie Dip

Whip together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a splash of vanilla until fluffy.

Fold in crushed chocolate sandwich cookies for that cookies-and-cream look.

Put some Halloween sprinkles and candy eyeballs across the top so it looks like something staring back at your guests.

Grab graham crackers or apple slices to scoop it up.

3. Spider Spinach Dip

This one is super cute and so easy to do!

Mix frozen spinach, sour cream, and a packet of ranch seasoning until well blended.

Put it in a bowl then make little spiders out of black olives.

Serve with some fresh veggies for a healthy party snack.

4. Pumpkin Pie Dip

Blend cream cheese, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, and powdered sugar until silky.

I serve mine in a hollowed-out mini pumpkin for extra charm!

It’s great with gingersnaps or vanilla wafers.

If you want it sweeter, fold in a spoonful of whipped topping before chilling.

5. Spiderweb Taco Dip

Layer some refried beans, sour cream mixed with taco seasoning, guacamole, shredded cheese, and salsa in a dish.

Pipe out some sour cream on top to make a spiderweb design using a plastic bag with the corner snipped.

Set a plastic spider (or a black olive spider) in the middle to complete the look.

Use tortilla chips for dipping.

6. Spider Bowl Dip

Carve a round loaf of bread into a bowl and fill it with your favorite cheesy dip.

Use breadsticks as legs around the sides so it looks like a giant spider on the table!

Oh, and add some olive halves as eyes to finish it off.

Guests can pull off the legs and scoop straight into the dip.

7. Boo-fallo Chicken Dip

I love this spooky twist on buffalo chicken dip!

Shred cooked chicken and mix with cream cheese, hot sauce, and ranch dressing.

Bake with shredded cheddar until bubbly.

To get those ghosty shapes, layout sliced mozza and pop it back in the oven until it just melts.

Use black currants for eyes and you’re all done!

8. Graveyard Dip

Layer some refried beans, sour cream, salsa, and cheese in a clear dish.

Top with guacamole and shredded lettuce on top to look like grass.

Stick halved tortillas or crackers into the dip like gravestones.

If you want to get fancy, you can use edible markers to write “RIP”!

9. Cheesecake Brain Dip

This one is not as hard to make as it looks!

Whisk together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla pudding mix, then fold in whipped topping.

Spoon the mixture into a brain-shaped mold and refrigerate until firm.

When unmolded, drizzle strawberry sauce into the grooves for a gruesome look.

Serve with cookies or fruit.

10. Bloody Baked Brie

Not technically a dip, but you can dip stuff in it!

Place a wheel of brie on a baking sheet and top it with raspberry or strawberry jam.

Bake until the cheese is soft and gooey, letting the jam drip down the sides like blood.

For extra creep factor, use a knife stuck into the top of the brie like it’s been stabbed.

11. Zombie Snot Dip

So gross looking but so yummy!

Heat up a can of white queso cheese in a saucepan until it’s smooth and creamy.

Add a few drops of neon green food coloring and stir until the color looks like…well, snot.

Pour the dip into a bowl and serve with chunks of French bread or tortilla chips.

I like to swirl in an extra drop of food coloring right before serving so it looks slimy and fresh.

12. Bloody Seven Layer Dip

Spread refried beans in the bottom of a dish, then layer guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese, olives, and tomatoes.

Mix cream cheese and sour cream together and smooth it across the top like a blank canvas.

Flick spoonfuls of fake blood (corn syrup and red food coloring) over the white layer so it looks like splattered blood.

Guests will be surprised when they scoop through to the layers beneath!

13. Puking Pumpkin Dip

Okay, another gross looking one but so clever!

Carve a mini pumpkin with a jagged mouth opening.

Place it on a tray and spoon guacamole so it looks like it’s spilling out of the mouth.

Surround the pumpkin with chips or crackers to scoop into the dip.

Your guests will definitely get a kick out of this one.

14. Ghost S’mores Dip

Melt chocolate chips in a skillet and spread ghost marshmallows on top.

(Peeps makes ghost marshmallows!)

Bake until the marshmallows puff up and turn golden.

Use a little melted chocolate to draw spooky ghost faces on top of the marshmallows.

Graham crackers are perfect for dipping into the gooey layers.

15. Jack O’ Lantern Mexican Dip

Spread a layer of refried beans on a round platter, then top with a thick layer of guacamole.

Cover with shredded cheddar cheese and baked until it’s all melty and gooey.

Once it cools a bit, use olive for the mouth and purple tortillas for eyes.

It’s super simple and easy to throw together (especially last minute).

Scary-Good Halloween Dip Fun!

Halloween dips don’t need to be complicated to steal the spotlight at your party!

A few simple ingredients, a little creativity, and suddenly the snack table is just as fun as the costumes.

I love that you can go creepy, cute, or downright gross depending on the vibe you’re going for.

Set out a couple of these dips with chips, crackers, or veggies, and you’ll have people circling back for seconds all night long.
